Illinois Driver’s License Reinstatement: Our Method

The Kurash Law Firm takes great pride in making sure its clients are properly prepared for their Hearing, whether it be Informal or Formal, so as to ensure the greatest likelihood of SUCCESS!!! If you are revoked for a DUI conviction, our method is typically as follows:

  • 1. Initial Consultation

This consultation is FREE and provides the Kurash Law Firm the opportunity to gather necessary information about you to open a file and design a strategy for SUCCESS.

  • 2. Reviewing Driving History

You should review your Illinois driving history as well as any out of state offenses applicable

  • 3. Obtaining Documentation

Obtain all necessary documentation including sworn reports and previously completed alcohol evaluations and treatment records

  • 4. Previous Hearings

If you have previously attended a Secretary of State Hearing at any time, we will obtain the decision from that Hearing as well as copies of all documents you submitted

  • 5. Schedule First Preparation Appointment

This meeting is lengthy and designed to thoroughly review every question which will be asked and answers you will provide, on direct examination, as well as discuss expected cross examination. At the conclusion of this meeting, you will be provided with a study package, the contents of which, will be reviewed and discussed in each phone preparation appointment which follow. Our office typically schedules 8 – 12 phone appointments with each client, prior to attending the Hearing, to help ensure their SUCCESS. We believe preparation is essential to a SUCCESSFUL outcome

  • 6. Review Evaluations And Treatment Records

Review all current Evaluations and Treatment records and discuss such with the providers to ensure the context is consistent and meets the criteria required by the Secretary of State

  • 7. Conduct A Final In-Office Interview

Conduct a final in-office interview prior to the actual Hearing to make sure all elements of your Petition are properly addressed and that you are ready for a SUCCESSFUL HEARING

  • 8. Attend A Hearing

Attend the Hearing with our client and professionally guide them through the process

  • 9. Assisting Our Clients

Upon Granting of driving privileges, we assist our clients with any and all questions they have regarding obtaining their RDP or DRIVER’S LICENSE

Personal Injury

If you are eligible for an INFORMAL HEARING, the above outlined method will be somewhat less intensive but still very thorough.

If you are revoked for some reason other than a DUI, a different method of preparation will be undertaken to ensure your SUCCESS. Contact our office to discuss your Non-DUI Suspension or Revocation and how we can SUCCESSFULLY represent you so that you can regain driving privileges.

D.U.I Defense

Why Not Try The First Hearing On My Own And If I Lose, Then I Can Hire An Attorney

They say everyone has a little bit of a “Gambler” in them.

If you attempt your 1st Hearing on your own and get denied, all of your testimony, as well as documents you submitted, become part of your record. At your next Hearing, you must meet your Burden of Proof as well as to try and to correct the issues raised as a result of your 1st Hearing, which is often very difficult.

At Alan R. Kurash and Associates L.L.C. we believe the key to driving relief is clear
